Our Lillian Dixie Morton Children’s Library is a sunny, active community space that welcomes all as it quietly (or not so quietly) works to enrich and transform lives.

Here children, parents and grandparents, teachers and Cape visitors alike will
  • great books and media for children and teens
  • a Makerspace where children ages 7 and up can experiment and create with STEM and Art materials
  • scheduled and “on-demand” programs for small groups
  • traditional and project-based StoryTimes for preschoolers.

For up-to-date program details, follow this link to Osterville Village Library's Events Calendar.

A drop-in playgroup/storytime filled with music, movement and of course books. For ages 0 - up to 3 years.
For parents, StoryTimes are an opportunity to meet other parents, and/or talk with a librarian about good children’s books.

Always Available: Are you part of a preschool playgroup, but find that our regular StoryTime hours don’t fit into your schedule?  Get 5 or more little ones together, and contact us to schedule a special StoryTime for your group.

We’re making project-based learning the focus of our expanded literacy programming for school-age children. In future programs, every child will be able to build on his/her interests while enjoying books, media, and technology.

Check our Events Calendar regularly for Makerspace, Art and Gaming Club activities happening afterschool and during half and full-days off from school.
